MANILA, Philippines – Is international singing sensation Charice filming her next Hollywood movie?

According to a website, the 18-year-old rising superstar is currently filming an action-comedy film titled “Here Comes The Boom” that also stars Salma Hayek, Kevin James, Henry Winkler, Joe Rogan, Germaine De Leon and Shelly Desai.

Charice's mother, Raquel Pempengco, sent a web link to abs-cbnNEWS.com on Tuesday detailing the “Pyramid” singer’s purported next movie project.

"The movie is about a school about to lose the music department, so the school music teacher (played by Kevin James) 'goes to cage fighting for prize money to keep the music program,'” the blog entry read.

In the film, Charice will play the role of Malia, said the website. Frank Coraci ("Click" and "The Wedding Singer") is reportedly directing the movie, which will be screened in 2012.

Raquel, however, did not categorically say if the speculations are true. She has yet to answer abs-cbnNEWS.com’s e-mail with regard to Charice’s supposed participation in the film.

Charice was part of 20th Century Fox's live-action animation film “Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel."

After starring in "Alvin and The Chipmunks," Charice, who plays Sunshine Corazon on “Glee,” said she has been receiving lots of movie offers. The singer also admitted that she wants to appear in a horror film.

As of the moment, Charice is focusing on her music career. She's in the United States to complete her second album. She is also taping for hit musical show "Glee."
