The Venezuelan Stefania Fernandez won the 2009 Miss Universe pageant in the Bahamas on Sunday night. This is the second consecutive year that the Ms. Venezuela captured the Miss Universe crown and six times in the history of the pageant.

Crystle Steward, the second Miss USA in a row to fall down during the Miss Universe pageant. She tripped on the train of her bejeweled evening gown as she made her entrance during the evening gown competition.

Last year, it was the same thing happened in Miss USA 2007 Rachel Smith in Mexico.

The 22-year-old Miss Venezuela Dayana Mendoza has won the Miss Universe pageant.

The stunner from Venezuela beats runners-up from Colombia, the Dominican Republic, Russia and Mexico to clinch the diamond-studded golden crown.
