‘Eat Bulaga’ exec announces Wally Bayola’s temporary leave due to sex video scandal

Malou Choa-Fagar, senior vice president and chief operating officer of TAPE, Inc., the company that produces “Eat Bulaga”, announced that comedian Wally Bayola is on a temporary leave of absence from the show.

Fagar made the announcement in an interview with GMA News for the “Chika Minute” segment of its news program “24 Oras” Tuesday night but declined to comment any further.

In an earlier report posted by InterAksyon on the video scandal (http://www.interaksyon.com/entertainment/latest-sex-video-scandal-features-comedian-wally-bayola-and-eat-bulaga-dancer/), Fagar declined to give any comment to News5.

A Twitter account that describes itself as the “official tweetpage” of comedian Jose Manalo, the other half of the popular Jose and Wally comedy team, later posted a series of tweets Wednesday explaining Bayola’s leave of absence as due to the video scandal issue allegedly involving him and EB Babe dancer Yoshika “Yosh” Rivera.

In a series of tweets that was reported by several online news and blog sites including InterAksyon as well as TV news programs, @manalo_jose announced that Bayola will not be seen on “Eat Bulaga” for the meantime because of the brewing scandal.

The official Twitter account of “Eat Bulaga” later tweeted, “Hi mga Dabarkads! Wala pong twitter account si Dabarkads Jose,” effectively disputing the tweets of @manalo_jose.

In response, @manalo_jose tweeted, “Magandang gabi po :) Unang-una wala pong pagpapanggap na naganap.. dahil ginawa po ang twitter acc. na ito para suportahan si jose at wally.

Other than tweeting that Manalo has no Twitter account, @eatbulaga has not tweeted anything about the controversy involving Bayola and Rivera.
