Sixteen days before Christmas, pound-for-pound king Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao has made this wish - for the public to end all rumors about his alleged illicit affair with young sexy star Krista Ranillo.
Manny reiterated that it is about time to stop all the intrigues, which he said were the result of “crab mentality.”
"Magpa-pasko na. Kung gusto niyong umunlad ang buhay n'yo, umayos ang buhay n'yo, iwasan niyo ang crab mentality,” he said in an interview during his star-studded victory party in Quezon City Tuesday night.
He added: "Kung gusto nila akong i-tsismis, i-tsismis niyo ako. Basta ako deadma lang. Sabi ko kayo din ang magsasawang mag-tsismis. Kung gusto niyo, pag-usapan niyo pa ako araw-araw. Sa akin lang, sana ay iwasan natin na makasira tayo ng buhay ng ibang buhay kasi kasalanan sa Diyos 'yon.”
The rumors broke out while Manny, his family and entourage were in Las Vegas, Nevada for his “Fire Power” showdown with Puerto Rican Miguel Cotto.
Despite the denials from both camps, the rumors had apparently affected his wife, Jinkee, who burst into tears and was inconsolable while attending a thanksgiving Mass in Las Vegas following Manny’s historic win.
“Dapat maisip ng ibang tao kung nakakasira tayo ng pamilya. Malaking kasalanan 'yan na makasira ka ng isang pamilya," Manny said.
The couple had eventually ironed things out when they arrived in the country.
During his victory party in QC, the Filipino boxing icon assured that everything is fine between him and his wife. He also thanked Jinkee for loving and trusting him.
He said he and his wife were able to hurdle the controversy through the “help of prayers.” He said they will surpass future intrigues also through prayers.
"Alam namin namin na ang kasamaan ay hindi nagtatagumpay sa kabutihan," he said.
Like Jinkee, Pacman also vowed to fight for his family.
Meanwhile, Manny and Ranillo, stars of upcoming movie “Wapakman,” have resumed shooting their film. Tight security was imposed in the set of the film in order to keep the media and crowd at bay.
Manny plays the lead star while Ranillo is the villainess in the film.
Ranillo has slipped quietly back into the country, but she continues to elude the entertainment press.
