iGMA: Sunday’s SOP is Fully Charged!

Source: gmanews.tv

Sundays have just gotten a new jolt of electricity through 'SOP Fully Charged!' If you think 'SOP' ruled before, you're in for a new treat as the choice Sunday Concert TV pulls out all the stops.

Super energized ang SOP Fully Charged this Sunday, with major launches ng Full House at Ang Panday. If that's not enough, makiki-party din sina Darna (Marian Rivera), Ding (Robert Villar) at Pancho (Dennis Trillo). Mark Herras will be launching his newest dance album; and La Diva premieres their first music video as a group.

If you were surprised by the changes in last week's SOP, expect more in the coming weeks, including this Sunday's live episode.

Nang makapanayam namin ang bagong Program Manager nito na si Ramel "Rams" David, he explained some of the changes that have happened and will continue to happen.

Something new. "May segments, pero hindi regular 'yung artist doon sa segment. So 'yung segment, iba-iba 'yung puwedeng sumayaw, kumanta." ‘Yan ang sinabi sa amin ni Sir Rams about the new format.

At sa pagpasok ng new faces sa SOP, gaya nina Jake Vargas, Barbie Forteza, Joshua Dionisio, Alex Casto, Jay Perillo, Prince Stefan and Edgar Allan Guzman, there will also be more new segments according to him.

This is one of the ways na naisip ng SOP to make the show more energized—by continuously providing performance after performance, which means less talk.

"Tapos, mayroon kaming running LED, na instead na may ina-announce na 'happy birthday,' 'thank you,' doon na lang. To save time."

Bukod dito, SOP Fully Charged also introduces the 'One Time' segment. Sir Rams explains, "parang labanan ‘yan every month. So three weeks na may iba-ibang production numbers. Tapos sa fourth week, malalaman kung sino 'yung nanalo sa voting. So kung sino may gusto nung number, puwede kang mag-vote."

Last week it was Gian Magdangal. Can you guess who will go out of their comfort zone this week?

Sir Rams said, "kaya SOP iLike e. Pwedeng mag-text, pwedeng mag-chat—interactive 'yung last hour."

Of course, the actual chat happens throughout the whole program. And you can join them this Sunday.

Regularly irregular. Another way of keeping viewers coming back is SOP Fully Charged's decision to rotate the younger performers every week, para hindi nasasawa ang mga viewers.

"Para we can give chance din to others," Sir Rams explained.

But of course, may ilang faces na hindi puwedeng mawala sa SOP—like Jolina Magdangal, Dennis Trillo, Heart Evangelista, Jan Nieto and La Diva. But Jolina and Jan will both be taking short breaks muna para sa isang grand image makeover.

Better preparations. With all these changes, siyempre kailangan sabayan rin ng mga performers ang continuous improvement na ginagawa ng show.

Kris Bernal, one of the re-launch performers, share with us: "Ngayon, mas mahaba na 'yung time ng rehearsals. Pinag-aaralan namin 'yung mga sayaw a week before the live episode. So ngayon medyo mas pulido, mas binabantayan 'yung bawat step, mas pinag-aaralan—at nagpupuyat kami."

Kaya naman mas matutuwa ang viewers sa mga mapapanood nila, according to Kris. "Kasi mas lalong pinagbubutihan at pinaghuhusayan ng lahat ng artista."

Dagdag pa niya, "talagang bawal ang walang energy."

SOP Fully Charged energizes your weekend viewing habits every Sunday after Joey's Quirky World. Don't miss this Sunday's episode as Lea Salonga takes the SOP concert stage for the very first time.
