ABS-CBN television series “Super Inggo” was a phenomenal success when it premiered in 2006, prompting the Kapamilya network to bring it back on TV.

This time though as an animated series called “Super Inggo at Super Tropa.”

The show is a collaborative project between ABS-CBN TV Production and ABS-CBN Animation Department led by Guia Jose.

Jose was part of the creative team of Optifex International, which worked on animation projects like “The Flinstones,” “The Jetsons,” and “Yogi's Treasure Hunt.”

She trained at the Hanna-Barbera Studios in Burbank in 1987 and Tokyo Movie Shinsha in Tokyo in 1985 and 1986. The animation team of 100—animators, writers, and staff— worked on one episode for about 18 weeks.

Business Unit Head Enrico Santos has high hopes that the animated series will be as well-loved as its predecessor.

"Everything that the public loved in Super Inggo—the drama, adventure, fun—will still be here, but in a new, more dynamic environment," Santos said.

“Super Inggo at ang Super Tropa” will premiere on November 22.
