Barbie, which is celebrating her 50th anniversary as one of the top toy brands in the world, had been released some animated film but never adapted into a live-action film. Mattel has been extremely protective, they've don't want to tarnish the polished image of the toy.
But after a long months of negotiations, Universal has acquired the rights to the iconic girl toy to make a live-action movie.
Laurence Mark will be producing the first live-action movie of Barbie.
The question is, who will be portray the role of Barbie?
